"I just love chocolate, always have. It reminds me of special childhood treats, a little square of chocolate placed quietly in my hand by my gentle dad whom I adored. It filled me with warmth, love, and happiness.
When I went vegan in 2015 with the rest of my family, I really wanted to find a delicious chocolate that would still fill me with joy. But I couldn't find any that I loved (and believe me, I tried them all!).
So I just Googled 'how to make chocolate', and my rollercoaster chocolate journey was born. My aim was to produce a thoroughly delicious chocolate that looks beautiful, tastes amazing, and represents the highest standards of ethics and sustainability."
So what's the chocolate like?!
Chocolatey Clare confectionery is truly unique as it is made to my own special recipe! It has a rich depth of flavour and a distinctive taste profile. I spent three years perfecting my chocolate recipe, and I ultimately produced a luscious result that made me smile -- not too bitter but teetering on the edge of darkness with gorgeous undertones and a deliciously lingering aftertaste.
There are only four ingredients in the chocolate, and I spent a very long time searching for the highest quality coupled with optimum ethical standards. I chose to collaborate only with suppliers committed to making a positive social impact who are involved in a variety of humanitarian, charitable, and environmental projects that benefit local farmers and communities. Our exquisite chocolate is lovingly handcrafted in small batches right here in Ireland. The foundation of its rich flavours lies in the organic raw cacao nibs and cacao butter sourced from the most exquisite Peruvian Criollo beans. It's worth noting that a mere 3% of the world's chocolate is derived from these remarkable beans, making our creations all the more exceptional!
The thoughtfully designed packaging of Chocolatey Clare reflects both elegance and environmental mindfulness. The inner wrappers are made of a compostable plant-based film, while the outer boxes are crafted from FSC-certified board and printed with vegetable-based ink using wind-powered printing machines. You can see that our dedication to sustainable luxury underpins all the decisions we make!
